The long-awaited 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has finally been launched in the Indian market. The updated model is available in 4 variants Sports, Longitude, Limited and new S – priced between Rs 16.99 lakh and Rs 24.49 lakh. The company has also launched the new 80th anniversary edition, which costs Rs 22.96 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

This is the first major upgrade to the Compass SUV, which was introduced back in 2017. It comes with design and interior changes along with new added features; however, engine options remain the same.
In terms of styling, the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift comes with more aggressive looks. Upfront is a large 7-dlat grille with chrome finish, sleek-looking headlamps with new inserts, updated bumper and new fog lamp assembly. LED lighting system comes as standard, while the fog lamp has new enclosure. There is a black slat that runs across the width and an auxiliary air inlet is positioned int the middle. The SUV has new alloy wheels and squared wheel arches with plastic cladding. The rear profile comes with re-styled taillamps with new inserts along with new bumper. Inside the cabin, the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift gets new Dual-Tone Black and Brown theme. The SUV received new dashboard with soft-touch leather stitching, new steering wheel and a new infotainment system. It comes fitted with ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, climate control and a 360 degree parking camera. The engine start/stop button has been re-positioned, while the instrument console has also received new inserts.
The new Compass comes fitted with new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UConnect 5 software. It is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with Voice recognition. It also gets connected car tech with features like geo-fencing, find my car and others.
The 2021 Jeep Compass is available with 2 engine options – 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel. The petrol engine is capable of producing 161bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. The multijet turbo diesel engine is capable of producing 171bhp of maximum power and 350Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox is available as standard. While the petrol version gets a 7-speed DCT, the diesel version gets a 9-speed automatic as optional.
