Jeep India has dropped yet another teaser of the upcoming new Jeep Compass facelift featuring Bollywood actor – Sonu Sood. In the picture, the actor holds a poster stating “Ordinary Can’t Help Thousands of People Get Home. Live Legendary.” Just so you, Sood lent a helping hand to thousands of migrants and daily wage workers ever since the outbreak of the pandemic. He provided transport facilities for stranded labourers to get back to their hometowns, offered meals to the underprivileged and donated PPE to frontliners.
The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will come with improved styling, slightly more premium interior and new Green colour scheme. On the outside, the SUV will receive a new 7-slat front grille with honeycomb inserts, newly-designed headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, updated front bumper with faux skid plates, a large air dam, revised fog lamp assembly and a new set of 5-spoke alloy wheels.
Interior will also be revised with a few feature upgrades including a new 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. It has the latest FCA’s UConnect 5 technology supporting Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV will also come with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The all-black interior theme and dashboard with brushed aluminum trims and double stitched leather inserts will add more to its premium looks. The new Jeep Compass 2021 might also come with a 360 degree parking camera, wireless smartphone charging, ventilated front seats and a 3-spoke steering wheel. Engine setup of the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will be exactly similar to the existing model. The SUV is currently available with the 1.4L turbocharged petrol and 2.0L diesel engines delivering power worth 163bhp with 250Nm and 173bhp with 350Nm respectively. Both motors will continue to be available with the 6-speed manual gearbox. While the petrol variant will come with an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, the diesel model will have a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
