2021 Jawa 42 Launched – Price, More Power and Top Changes

Classic Legends has launched the 2021 Jawa 42 motorcycle with noticeable design and feature upgrades. The updated model is available at a price tag of Rs 1.84 lakh, which makes it about Rs 12,000 and Rs 21,000 expensive than the outgoing Jawa 42 dual-channel ABS variant and single-channel ABS Jawa 42 respectively. The previous model was priced at Rs 1.72 lakh for dual-channel ABS variant and Rs 1.63 lakh for the single-channel ABS variant.

The bikemaker offers three new colour schemes, namely, White, Matte Red and Matte Black. Save for the body panels and fuel tank, the bike’s entire body gets sporty black treatment.

The colour palette continues to include Halley’s Tella, Lumos Lime, Galactic Green, Starlight Blue, Glossy Comet Red and Glossy Nebula Blue shades. One of the biggest upgrades comes in a form of newly-designed blacked-out alloy wheels replacing the wire-spoke units. The blacked-out headlamps, turn indicator housings, rear suspension units and exhaust pipe add more to its new sporty looks.

The 2021 Jawa 42 is powered by the same BS6 compliant 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the Classic and the outgoing model. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, this liquid-cooled engine has been tuned to produce 26.51bhp of power and 27Nm of torque. It is claimed to be more refined, and offers 0.8bhp more power. Just so you know, the Jawa Perak comes with a more powerful 30bhp, 344cc engine, which is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
