Korean automaker, Hyundai is reportedly refreshing the new Creta’s variants for the Indian market. The report claims that the 2021 Hyundai Creta SUV will soon receive several new features as well as some deletions. With new upgrades, Hyundai will aim to further boost sales in the competitive market. The changes will be made based on market trends and customer feedback.
While the entry-level Creta E variant will see removal of some features, the other variants will gain new features. The range-topping SX and SX (O) trims will receive new connectivity options. The connectivity features will see the addition of over-the-air (OTA) updates for the infotainment system. The vehicle will also support new voice commands such as power window control, retrieving contact details, points-of-interest search, etc. The top-end variants will also receive new smart key with remote engine start and soft paint finish on the dashboard.
The mid-level EX and S trims infotainment system will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. On the other hand, the base E trim misses out on the electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors. This variant will also miss out on luggage lamp and passenger seat-back pocket. The turn indicators are re-positioned on the front fenders.
Hyundai has also introduced new voice greetings when owner start the car, depending on the time of the day. The voice greetings work as a reminder the occupants to wear seat belt.
2021 Hyundai Creta Price Hike
Hyundai had increased the prices of the new Creta in the end of April 2021. The prices of the SUV has been increased by up to Rs 19,600, as the base variant is available at a price tag of Rs 9.99 lakh. The base 1.5L E diesel model gets expensive by Rs 19,600, while the other variants received a price hike of Rs 13,600. The petrol range is available in the price bracket of Rs 9.99 lakh – Rs 17.67 lakh, while the diesel Creta is priced between Rs 10.51 lakh – Rs 17.62 lakh.
The 2021 Hyundai Creta is available with 3 engine options – a 113bhp, 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol, a 138bhp, 1.4-litre turbo petrol and a 113bhp, 1.5-litre turbo diesel. The 1.5L petrol engine is available with a 6-speed MT & a CVT automatic gearbox options, while the turbo unit is offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The diesel engine can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
