Toyota Innova MPV is ready to receive a mid-life update in the Indonesian market on 10th October, 2020. Prior to its official unveiling, the first spy pictures of the fully-loaded 2020 Toyota Innova Touring Sport variant have emerged on the web. The updated top-end model has witnessed significant cosmetic changes along with a bunch of new features. One of the significant design upgrades comes in the form of chrome treatment on the newly-designed alloy wheels and ORVMs. The glossy black housing around the fog lamps further enhances its sporty appeal.
While the front grille will get a thicker chrome treatment, the chrome under the door side sills will be removed. The lower portion of the front bumper gets extra black elements. The MPV continues to feature the smoked headlamps with projector lights, LED DRLs, underbody plastic cladding running along the length of the car, blackened B and C-pillar and dual-tone ORVMs with integrated turn signal lights.
Interior layout and features of the 2020 Toyota Innova Touring Sport facelift will be exactly similar to the current model. Though, the carmaker might add a few features including a 360 degree surround view camera, electrically adjustable front seats, wireless charging and new upholstery. No changes will be made under the hood. In Indonesia, the new Innova will be offered with the 137bhp, 2.0L 1TR-FE Dual VVT-I petrol and 147bhp, 2GD-FTV VNT Intercooler engine options. In India, the facelifted model will continue to be offered with the 2.4L diesel and 2.7L petrol motors pushing out power worth 150bhp with 343Nm and 166bhp with 245Nm respectively. Both engines will be available with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox option. Sporting improved styling and new features, the 2021 Toyota Innova is likely to witness a minor price hike.
