Tata Motors had introduced the Nexon facelift in the country earlier this year. A new media report claims that the Tata Nexon facelift has received a new update. Tata Motors has issued a notification to its dealerships over a new grille design on the Nexon facelift.
The Tata Nexon facelift gets new bi-arrow theme for the lower grille instead of the 7 tri-arrow highlights in white colour in the current form. The 3 arrows in the left and right are highlighted in white, while the central tri-arrow has its lower arms highlighted.
The report claims that the new grille highlight will be offered in the XZ+/XZA+, XZ+(S)/XZA+ (S) and XZ+ (O)/ XZA+ (O) variants of the Tata Nexon compact SUV. The Nexon facelift is currently available at a price tag of Rs 6.95 lakh. The compact SUV is available with two BS6 compliant engines – a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel. While the turbocharged petrol engine is capable of producing 118bhp of power and 170Nm of torque, the oil burner is good for 108bhp and 260Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT.
Tata Motors is also testing the Nexon with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Tata Nexon DCT automatic is likely to feature a Punch-sourced 7-speed DT-1 dual-clutch gearbox, which will also be offered on the Altroz premium hatchback. The new DCT is expected to be more efficient and refined and have smooth shifting than the existing AMT (automated manual transmission) units.
