The 2020 Mahindra Thar will be made available with both petrol and diesel engine options. For the first time, the off-road SUV will receive an automatic gearbox along with the standard manual transmission. The off-road SUV looks more rugged and feature loaded than before. Mahindra claims that the new Thar has better off-road capabilities, thanks to its high ground clearance, improved water wading ability, better approach, departure and ramp up angles and 4WD system with mechanically locking differential.
Some of its key highlights include LED DRLs, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, manual day/night IRVM, electric AC unit, keyless entry, tilt adjustable steering, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, height adjustable driver’s seat, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors with electronic stability program, ABS with EBD, roll over mitigation and more. One must note that the aforementioned features vary variant-wise.
