The BSVI-compliant 2020 Honda WR-V facelift has recently been launched in the country. The new model comes with some design changes and upgraded interior along with BSVI compliant petrol and diesel engine options. Let’s find out what is new in the 2020 Honda WR-V facelift.
– Available in two trim levels – SV and VX – the new WR-V is priced between Rs 8.50 lakh and Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The pre-facelift model was available in 2 trims – S and VX – priced between Rs 7.75 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh.
– The new model is around 1 lakh expensive over the previous model. In fact, the price gap between the base models of new and old WR-V is 75,000.
– The new 2020 Honda WR-V facelift is available with the BSVI compliant petrol and diesel engines. The petrol version draws power from the 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine producing 90bhp at 6,000rpm and 110Nm of torque at 4,800rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.
– The oil burner is a BSVI compliant 1.5-litre i-DTEC unit that is good for 99bhp at 3,600rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm. It is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
– With BSVI compliant engines, the new WR-V offers less fuel efficiency. The new model is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 16.5kmpl in petrol and 23.7kmpl in diesel. The BS4 compliant WRV petrol and diesel versions deliver 17.5kmpl and 25.5kmpl respectively.
– The new 2020 Honda WR-V is available in 5 color options – Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, New Golden Brown Metallic, New Platinum White Pearl and New Radiant Red Metallic.
– The overall profile of the new WR-V remains the same; however, it receives some design changes. Instead of single-slat chromed grille, the new model gets multi-slat hexagonal grille with chrome surround. The halogens are replaced with new LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and position lamps.
– The 2020 Honda WR-V also gets new LED fog lamps, updated bumper, newly styled 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and new LED rear combination lamps.
– The interior of the WR-V facelift receives minimal changes in the form of new seat upholstery and the updated 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is now compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The unit also supports voice command feature, navigation system, Bluetooth handsfree telephony and audio and wireless infrared remote.
