French automaker, Citroen has officially released the technical specifications and features of the new 2020 Citroen C4 and the Citroen e-C4. The tenth generation Citroen C4 hatchback will come with all-new design, and new petrol and diesel engines along with a pure electric version.
The electric Citroen C4 features a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is claimed to offer a WLTP certified range of 350 kilometers. The electric motor produces 134.1bhp and a peak torque of 260Nm. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in 9.7 seconds in sport model before hitting a top speed of 150kmph. The e-C4 can be charged up to 80% in just 30 minutes using a 100 kW fast charger. With 32 Ampere home charger, the electric C4 can be fully charged in seven and a half hours. The optional 11 kW charger can fully charge the battery in 5 hours.
The 2020 Citroen C4 hatchback is available in 5 petrol engine and 2 diesel engine options. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer. The petrol engine options include PureTech 100 S&S 6MT, PureTech 130 S&S 6MT, PureTech 130 S&S EAT8 Auto, PureTech 155 S&S EAT8 Auto and PureTech 155 EAT8 Auto. The diesel engine gearbox combinations include BlueHDi 110 S&S 6MT and BlueHDi 130 S&S EAT8 Auto.
The styling of the 2020 Citroen C4 and the e-C4 are similar, featuring coupe-like design with a sloping roofline. Upfront is a slim grille, angular headlamps and the newly styled double line DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps). There is black cladding on the lower side of the body to offer rugged feel, while the rear has stylish tail-lamps.
The 2020 Citroen C4 comes equipped with 20 new driver assistance features such as blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist, highway driver assist and others. It is fitted with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice command, a connected HD camera with GPS with 16GB memory, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Navigation. It also gets wireless charging, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, heated seats and an Arkamys 8-channel Audio system.
