Jaguar Land Rover has rolled out 2018 models of the Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque SUVs with the new 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine. The brand’s new-generation Ingenium gasoline powertrain has been offered on the SE and HSE trims of the 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport and SE and HSE Dynamic trims of the Evoque. Prices of the former start from Rs 49.20 lakh, and the latter is available at a starting price of Rs 51.06 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, India.

Jaguar Land Rover’s 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine is claimed to deliver 15 percent better fuel efficiency than the old 2.0L engine. In fact, it has lower running costs. This transversely mounted engine can deliver a maximum power of 247bhp and 365Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission comes as standard across the model lineup. Just so you now, the Ingenium petrol powertrain made its India debut in the Velar. In the SUV, however, it’s longitudinally mounted and delivers power worth 246bhp with 365Nm of torque.
No design changes have been made to the SUVs. The 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque look exactly similar to their old models. Though, the carmaker has added the Wi-Fi Hotsport with 4G access to up to eight devices and InControl-Pro Services on both the vehicles. The InControl Pro system offers features such as Commute Mode, Route Planner App and Sharing ETA.
