Nissan India will launch the 2014 Sunny sedan facelift on 3rd of July, 2014. The vehicle gets changes to both exterior and interior, and is equipped with additional features. It will compete against the likes of new Honda City, Hyundai Verna and soon to be launched Ford Fiesta facelift.

  1. The Nissan Sunny facelift has much more sharper and premium front fascia. It is equipped with a larger ‘boomerang’ shaped headlamps. The front grille incorporates Nissan logo at the centre, while the reworked bumper features a new pair of fog lamps surrounded by chrome accents.
  2. The outside rear view mirrors are now features the turn signals, while there is a flash of chrome around the windows as well. Its wheel arches have been fitted to 15-inch Y-Spoke alloy wheels.
  3. At the back, the Sunny facelift gets new tail lights and restyled bumper with black diffuser.
  4. Inside the cabin, the updated Sunny has piano black theme on central console, while the three spoke steering wheel gets silver accents.
  5. The vehicle is equipped with leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and hand brake lever. The premium leather upholstery on seats further enhances the overall ambiance of the car.
  6. The top spec model is equipped with an advanced audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. It also has steering mounted controls and reverse parking camera with display screen on centre console and push button start.
  7. The Nissan Sunny facelift will be offered in three trim levels- XE, XL and XV. The top-spec XV trim will come in diesel powetrain only and two accessories packs- Premium Pack 1 and Premium Pack 2.
  8. The driver side airbag, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with brake assist comes as standard safety features.
  9. The 2014 Nissan Sunny facelift gets more fuel efficient; it is equipped with a tuned 1.5-litre dci diesel engine producing 85PS and 1.5-litre petrol mill that produces 98PS. Thhe diesel engine returns an impressive fuel economy of 22.7kmpl which is around 1kmpl more than before.
  10. Both the engines will be paired to a five-speed manual transmission gearbox, while the petrol version also comes with CVT gearbox option.
