2 New Cars Ready To Launch Next Week – Details, Images

In the first three weeks of March 2021, we have witnessed multiple new car launches including the updated Renault Triber, new Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB and the locally-developed BMW M340i xDrive and Jeep Wrangler. There are two more new products which are planned for the last week of the month, namely, Jaguar I-Pace and Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine. While the former will hit showrooms on 23rd, the latter will see a release on 25th March 2021.

Jaguar I-Pace will be a pure electric SUV that will be offered in three variants – S, SE and HSE. Its powertrain system includes a 90kWh lithium-ion battery and two synchronous permanent magnet electric motors fitted at the front and rear axles. Its combined power and torque outputs stand at 394bhp and 396Nm respectively. The electric SUV will be available with AWD system and capable to achieve 0 to 100kmph in 4.8 seconds. It will have an electronic speed limit of 200kmph and offer a range of 480kms (with a large battery pack).

The I-Pace’s battery will take 45 minutes to get charged up to 80% via a 100kWh fast charger and around 10 hours to juice up 100% via a 7kW AC power socket. The company will offer a complimentary 5-year service package and 5 years of roadside assistance, along with the standard 8 year or 1.6 lakh kilometers battery warranty.

Scheduled to launch on 25th March, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine will be offered with the 1.3L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol and 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine options. While the gasoline unit will deliver power worth 163bhp and come with a 7-speed automatic gearbox, the oil burner will be good for 150bhp and available with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

It’s likely to be made available in a single fully-loaded Progressive Line variant packed with features such as a dual display setup (one for infotainment system and one for instrument cluster) with the latest MBUX infotainment system and connected car technology, wireless phone charger, dual zone climate control, cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with memory function and more.
