Fiat India will launch the much-awaited Avventura crossover on October 21, 2014. Based on the Punto platform, the pseudo crossover will come in three trim levels Active, Dynamic and Emotion (Diesel Only), in both petrol and diesel guise. It will compete against the likes of Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo.
The Avventura crossover will be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. While the petrol model gets the 1.4-litre FIRE engine outputting 89bhp and 115Nm of torque, the oil burner is the same tried & trusted 1.3-litre multi-jet motor that is capable of developing a top power output of 92bhp and 208Nm of torque. The petrol model is claimed to return a decent mileage of 14.4kmpl while the diesel engine returns 20.5kmpl.
The Avventura crossover is equipped with several high end features such as automatic climate control, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable ORVMs, remote keyless entry, multi-functional steering wheel, and others. The 16-inch alloy wheels, rear mounted spare wheels, foldable key, compass and inclinometer comes as standard features.
On safety and security front, the Avventura gets dual airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution), engine immobilizer, front fog lamps, etc. For entertainment and connectivity, the vehicle gets audio system with Bluetooth, USB, AUX-in, steering mounted audio and telephone controls, etc.
