The festive season is finally here, and car manufacturers started rolling out new and updated models, special editions and discounts on their existing vehicles. In the next week of October 2022, we will witness two new launches including the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV and a new Nissan car. Here’s a brief on the aforementioned upcoming new models.
BYD Atto 3
BYD Atto 3 will be the second offering from the Chinese EV market in India. The model, which is already on sale in select global markets, will make its way here on 11th October 2022. It will be imported here via SKD route and estimated to cost around Rs 30 lakh onwards. As per the leaked information, the Atto 3 will come with a 49.92kWh BYD Blade battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The battery pack is paired to an electric motor making 201bhp and 310Nm. The electric SUV will offer a range of 345km (WLTP cycle) on a full charge. It can do 0 to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds. New Nissan Car
Nissan India confirmed that it will make an announcement on 18th October 2022. While the company hasn’t yet revealed any details, the media reports suggest that it could be the unveiling or launch of the Nissan Leaf electric hatchback. The EV was spotted in India multiple time. In global markets, the Leaf EV is available with a 40kWh Li-ion battery pack and an EM57 electric motor. It delivers a combined power of 146bhp and 320Nm of torque. The electric hatchback offers a claimed range of 240km (NEDC cycle). It can also be had with the 3kWh and 6kWh AC chargers that take 16 hours and 8 hours to charge battery pack. More details here…
