New Tata Safari 2021 SUV has finally been unveiled in official pictures. The carmaker has also rolled out the line of its flagship SUV from its Pune based plant. Unofficial bookings of the upcoming new Safari have already been commenced at select dealerships in the country. The company also introduced the Tata Safari Imaginator suite offering multiple interactive features using Augmented Reality (AR). It enables customers to explore the SUV virtually while sitting in their comfort zone.
Featuring Tata Impact 2.0 design language, the 2021 Tata Safari is claimed to offer “an unmatchable combo of an exceptionally strong lineage, robust build quality, premium finishes and the 4Ps of Power, Performance, Presence and Prestige”. Visually, the SUV looks quite premium with elements such as signature grille, large headlamps with LED DRLs, pronounced wheel aches with large wheels, stepped roof with roof rails and LED taillamps.
While the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed the feature details of the new Tata Safari, the spy pictures reveal that the SUV will come with premium JBL audio system, premium Benecke-Kaliko oak brown leather seat upholstery, a7-inch instrument panel, a large floating infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, auto dimming IRVMs, adjustable driver’s seat and cruise control. Under the hood, the new Tata Safari 2021 will employ the Harrier’s 2.0L FCA-sourced diesel engine that pushes out a peak power of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. The SUV will be made available with both manual and automatic gearboxes. It will come with FWD (front-wheel-drive) system only. The SUV model lineup might receive the 4X4 drivetrain system at a later stage.
