Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace 7-Seater SUV Makes India Debut
Volkswagen India has unveiled the Tiguan AllSpace 7-seater SUV ahead of its public debut at the Auto Expo 2020. The Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace is essentially a longer and bigger version of the Tiguan SUV that’s priced at Rs 28.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 7-seater SUV looks exactly similar to the Tiguan when viewed from the front, but it’s considerably longer (215mm) and more spacious.

- It shares most of the design bits and features with the Tiguan SUV.
- The Tiguan AllSpace has more cabin space and cargo area to offer.

The Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace sits on 110mm longer wheelbase than its 5-seater sibling, and offers 115-litres extra boot space. Its overall length, width and height stand at 4701mm, 1839mm and 1674mm respectively. The SUV comes with a 2787mm long wheelbase and cargo volume of up to 700-litres.
The roof rails with redesigned roof are standard on the 7-seater SUV. It also gets a panoramic sliding sunroof along with full LED headlamps, a multifunction steering wheel, keyless access locking and starting system, new-generation infotainment system and more.
Powering the India-spec Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace will be a BS6-compliant 2.0L TSI petrol engine hooked to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The motor delivers a maximum power of 180PS and a peak torque of 320Nm. The 7-seater SUV lineup comes with 2WD (two-wheel-drive) system. It can achieve 100kmph from standstill in 8.2 seconds. There will no diesel engine on offer.
In terms of pricing, the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace is likely to cost a little higher than its 5-seater sibling. The 7-seater SUV is estimated to cost between Rs 30 lakh – Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom). Its launch will happen sometime this year.
