South-Korean auto maker Hyundai will launch the ix25 compact SUV in China on October 9. Unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show as concept, the Hyundai ix25 has been spotted with production body in China. Looking at the pictures, the compact SUV looks quite identical to the concept shown; however, there are few changes visible on closer look. [Hyundai ix25 interior pictures]
Going by the pictures, it is visible that the production version SUV features a toned down version of the LED daytime running lamps, while the concept had LEDs with larger DRLs strip. The bumper is equipped with new foglights while the skid guard added to this model is smaller in size compared to the one found in concept one. [Everything you want to know about Hyundai ix25]
The side profile of the SUV features aerodynamic crease running across the length to meet the rear tail lights. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to large diamond-cut alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres. Also visible is the black plastic cladding all around the car to offer more rugged road presence. The outside rear view mirrors are integrated with turn signals. The rear profile of the SUV largely remains the same except for few changes such as better enclosure for the licensing plate and new exhaust setup.
The Hyundai ix25 SUV is expected to be offered in seven variants and two petrol engine options. The base model will get a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine while the top-spec models would feature a 2.0-litre unit. Its base spec 1.6-litre variant will come with a six-speed auto gearbox.
