New Maruti Swift Leaked – Exterior, Interior Explained

Here are the first images of the 2024 new Maruti Swift (India-spec model). The new model has started arriving at Arena dealerships ahead of its official launch, scheduled for May 9. Painted in a white shade, the spotted Swift resembles its Japan-spec counterpart, featuring a more angular stance with a newly designed front grille with black surrounds, a revised bumper, redesigned smoked LED headlamps with DRLs, and updated fog lamp housing with splitter. The clamshell bonnet seems to be positioned lower.

Unlike the previous generation’s C-pillar-integrated rear door handles, the 2024 Maruti Swift adopts conventional door handles. The hatchback also features a new set of alloy wheels, blacked-out ORVMs, pillars, and roofs. The rear section has been revised with a redesigned tailgate, a revised bumper with a skid plate, LED taillamps with C-shaped DRLs, and reflectors.

New Maruti Swift Rear

A major highlight of the new Maruti Swift is the floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with a flat-bottom steering wheel and asymmetrical analogue dials for the climate control system’s digital AC panel. The infotainment unit supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Read: Maruti Suzuki Working On An Affordable Hybrid Car For India

The hatchback will also come with connected car technology, A and C-Type USB ports, wireless phone charging, and rear AC vents. With this generational change, the Swift will receive six airbags and seat belt reminders as standard safety features. The higher trim could be exclusively offered with a rear defogger, wash/wipe, and a rear camera.

New Maruti Swift Interior

The new Maruti Swift is expected to be more fuel-efficient than its current generation, thanks to its new Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine. The 1.2L naturally aspirated motor can be had with or without mild hybrid technology. Its power and torque figures are 84bhp and 112Nm, respectively. With manual and AMT gearboxes, the new Swift promises a mileage of 25.72kmpl.
