Spied- Chevrolet Sail sedan facelift photos & details

Chevrolet Sail facelift

We reported earlier that Chevrolet is working on the Sail sedan facelift which is likely to go on sale in the Indian market next year. A fresh set of spy pictures of the uncamouflaged model have hit the web. The Sail sedan gets new interiors and updated exteriors.

The Chevrolet Sail features a smartly tweaked exterior which makes it look sharp and appealing compared to its predecessor. It is equipped with Chevy’s dual-port grille which is flanked by the newly styled headlights. The updated bonnet features aggressive lines which visually flow to meet the A-pillar. This model gets larger wing mirrors; however, the turn signals are still positioned above the wheel arches.

At the back, the Chevrolet Sail facelift gets new taillights and a new bootlid. The registration plate enclosure is now positioned over the bootlid from the lower bumper. Its rear gets more aerodynamic curves which further enhance the overall visual appeal of this sedan.

The company has also updated the interiors of the Sail which now gets updated dashboard and better plastic quality. It now features a dual-tone beige colour interior scheme instead of dual-tone grey in the current model. The other expected changes are new steering wheel, chrome surrounds on instrument console, large display for audio system and new controls for AC.

The Sail sedan has been a huge hit in the Chinese market; however, it failed to lure buyers in the Indian car market. With the introduction of several new players including Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent in the entry level sedan segment, the competition gets furious. The new Chevrolet Sail with better looks and features might improve its sales in the market.
