Compared to the global model, the India-spec Skoda Kamiq will be longer and wider and sit on a slightly longer wheelbase. Its interior seems inspired by the new Scala hatchback.
The new Skoda compact SUV comes with a 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit with digital instruments and an optional 10.2-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity.
Features such as leather seat upholstery, automatic climate control and a multi functional steering wheel will also be on offer. In the latest Euro NCAP crash test, the Skoda Kamiq received a 5 star safety rating. It scored 96% for adult occupant protection, 85% for child occupant protection and 80% for pedestrians and cyclists safety.
Reports suggest that the India-spec Skoda Kamiq might come with a CNG kit and the locally-developed 115bhp, 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic unit.
