Tata Altroz Final Model Spotted; India Launch In Early 2020
The production-ready Tata Altroz premium hatchback has been completely revealed in a new picture. Painted in gold shade with dual-tone machined alloys, the model was spotted during its TVC shoot in Minsk, Belarus. The hatchback features a blacked-out roof, window frames and gloss black ORVMs giving it sporty appeal.
The Tata Altroz will be the brand’s first production vehicle based on the Alfa platform. Sporting Tata’s new-generation Impact 2.0 design philosophy, the hatchback will have an all-black interior packed with features such as a leather wrapped flat bottom steering, blue coloured ambient lighting and AC vents with body-coloured bezels.
For connectivity purpose, there will be a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Engine details are still under the wraps. Though, the Tata Altroz is likely to come with three powertrains – a 85bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated and a 102bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbocharged unit, a 90bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbocharged. It can be had either with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Tata Altroz is the production version of the 45X concept that was previewed at the Auto Expo last year. Estimated to be priced from Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 8.50 lakh, the new premium hatchback from the home-grown carmaker will put up against the Hyundai Elite i20 and Maruti Suzuki Baleno. In India, it will go on sale early next year.
