Honda is gearing up to launch its much-anticipated compact MPV- the Mobilio in the Indian market. The company has announced to launch this vehicle in July, while the customer previews for the car have already started in several cities across the country. The production of the MPV has already started at the company’s Greater Noida manufacturing unit.
The company has released new images of the Mobilio MPV on its official website. The images revealed are of a top end diesel variant. Its front bumper gets nudge guard strip. Also visible are the alloy wheels, fog lamps, reversing camera and other high end features.
Adding to it, the company also revealed the interiors of the MPV which resembles the smaller sibling- the Amaze. The dashboard, seats and interior trims are directly lifted from the Amaze sedan. Based on the “Man Maximum Machine Minimum” philosophy, the Mobilio MPV is the most spacious MPV in its league. Moreover, it gets the best in class third row space with ample legroom and headroom.
The Honda Mobilio MPV will come in both petrol and diesel guise. While the petrol version gets the tried & trusted 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine that produces 117bhp and 145Nm of torque, the oil burner will be powered by the 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine producing 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. The diesel engine will be paired to a five-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol version will be offered with both five speed manual and CVT gearbox. The Mobilio MPV is also claimed to be the most fuel efficient compact MPV in its segment.
