Hyundai Verna Gets 2 New Automatic Variants & a 1.4L Diesel Engine

Hyundai Verna SX+ petrol and SX (O) diesel are priced at Rs 11.51 lakh and Rs 13.99 lakh respectively.

Hyundai India has added two new automatic variants to the Verna sedan lineup – SX+ petrol and SX (O) diesel. While the former has been priced at Rs 11.51 lakh, the latter one is made available at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Besides this, the South Korean carmaker has introduced a 1.4L diesel powertrain to the model lineup.

The 1.4L diesel engine is available on two trims – E and EX – priced at Rs 9.29 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). This four-cylinder oil burner, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, makes power worth 88.7bhp at 4,000rpm and 219.67Nm of torque between 1,500rpm-2,750rpm. The Hyundai Verna carline also comes with a 1.6L, four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines matched to a 6-speed automatic transmission. While the gasoline unit delivers 121.3bhp at 6,400rpm and 151.02Nm of torque at 4,850rpm, the oil burner produces 126.2bhp at 4,000rpm and 259.88Nm of torque at 1,500rpm – 3,000rpm. Features such as halogen headlamps, steel wheels, power adjustable wing mirrors, fabric seat upholstery, central locking, dual front airbags, ABS, auto-dimming ORVMs, etc. are standard across all variants of the sedan.
