Force One gets two new variants – EX and SX

Force Motors India has officially launched the new variants of its flagship SUV, Force One at an event in Pune. The SUV was available in only single variant, now the company has added two more variants – EX and SX to the lineup.

Force Motors India has officially launched the new variants of its flagship SUV, Force One at an event in Pune. The SUV was available in only single variant, now the company has added two more variants – EX and SX to the lineup. The EX is the base variant, the SX is the base model which now gets ABS with EBD, and the LX is the top-of-the line variant which is available with four wheel drive option.

The entry level Force One EX model is powered by a 2.6-litre BS3 diesel engine that produces 82PS and 230Nm of top torque. The vehicle gets fog lamps, body colored bumpers and has seven-seat configuration. The other two models SX and LX gets 2.2-litre FMTECH diesel engine that is sourced from Mercedes. The engine is capable of developing 141PS and 321Nm of top torque.

The mid-variant SX comes equipped with features like rear washer, LED DRLs, wiper and defogger, alloy wheels, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, remote central locking, reverse parking sensor, ABS with EBS, cruise control and others. The top end LX variant gets all the features available in SX variant, but in addition it comes with a 4×4 system.

The Force One EX is priced at Rs. 8.99 lakhs, the mid SX variant is tagged at Rs. 11.78 lakhs to 12.06 lakhs, varies according to what customer opt for- a captain seat and ABS. The top-of-the line LX variant will be launched in August, and the new variants will be made available across all the Force dealerships from August 16, 2013.
