The Italian luxury sports car manufacturer, Lamborghini has introduced the more powerful version of the Aventador – Lamborghini Aventador S – in India at Rs 5.01 crore (ex-showroom). The ‘S’ is the suffix of previous enhanced Lamborghini models and defines a new benchmark for the V12 Lamborghini. Characterized by new aerodynamic design, the 2017 model features improved design, new driving dynamics and redeveloped suspension.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S is 40bhp more powerful. Power-packed with the naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine, the car delivers a maximum power of 730bhp at 8,400rpm against 690Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The engine’s revs, too, have been increased from 8,350rpm to 8,500rpm. With a weight-to-power ratio of 2.13kg/hb, the new Aventador S can do 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds, and hit a top speed of 350kmph. Lamborghini’s lightweight Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) 7-speed gearbox delivers power to all four wheels. The car also offers four different driving modes – Strada, Sport, Corsa and new Ego – that control traction, steering and suspension.
Talking about the exterior developments, the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S carries better aerodynamic design and more prominent muscular creases. There is a new front bumper with revised air intakes, revised LED headlamps, black diffuser at the rear (with carbon fiber option), and three single exhaust outlets.

The rear vertical fins not only enhance its downforce (by 130%), but reduce drag as well. Fitted with new multi-spoke alloys and Pirelli P Zero tyres, the new Aventador S provides better steering and traction and braking performance.
As far as cabin is concerned, the 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S brims with advanced comfort and connectivity features. The updated model gets a new digital instrument cluster, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with an optional telemetry system (helps recording lap times and tracking performance), and many more.
