Classic Legends is ready to introduce its third brand – Yezdi – in the Indian market. The company will announce prices of the upcoming scrambler and adventure motorcycles on 13th January 2022. Reports suggest the model will be named Yezdi Roadking that’s caught on camera multiple times. Here’re key details of the new Yezdi motorcycles we know so far.
Jawas’ Engine
The new Yezdi bike (both scrambler and adventure) is likely to share its engine with the existing Jawa motorcycles. It could be offered with the 293cc, single-cylinder engine that’s good enough for 27.3PS (27bhp) and 27.02Nm. Though, the company might calibrate the motor for the adventure motorcycle. Transmission duties will be performed by a 6-speed gearbox. The overall performance of the Roadking scrambler and adventure bikes could be different from Jawa motorcycles due to their different kerb weight and wheel sizes.
The new Yezdi Roadking is likely to come with the telescopic fork upfront and twin shock absorbers with gas-charged canisters at the back. The same suspension setup does duty in the Jawa motorcycles. It could have single disc brake at the front and drum unit at the rear. The single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) will come as standard fitment.
New Platform & Design
The upcoming Yezdi Roadking bikes are expected to be designed on a new platform featuring a higher load-bearing rear subframe. Rumour has it that it could be the modified version of the Jawa’s architecture. The scrambler will carry neo-retro design language with circular LED headlamp and rear view mirrors, a teardrop fuel tank, single piece seat, fork gaiters, twin exhaust setup and upright tail-section.
The adventure bike will feature a tall windscreen, a round headlamp, a bulbous fuel tank, circular rear view mirrors and split seat. The new Roadking Yezdi bike is expected to be packed with lots of advanced features such as a digital display.
