Maruti Suzuki, the prominent Indo-Japanese automaker, has been making significant strides in the Indian automotive market with the introduction of some exciting new models. In recent times, two noteworthy additions to their lineup are the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Jimny. It has successfully completed its first year in the Indian market, during which Maruti Suzuki sold over 1 lakh units of this model. Among the highly anticipated launches are the new-generation Maruti Swift and Dzire models. These vehicles are scheduled to hit the market in early 2024 and are expected to bring new levels of style, performance, and technology to the table.
Suzuki Motor Corporation has provided a sneak peek at the upcoming next-generation Swift in its concept form. This model is scheduled to make its public debut at the Japan Mobility Show, which kicks off on October 26, 2023. The new-gen Swift showcases a more curvaceous design with sharper character lines compared to the current model. At the front, it boasts a newly-designed grille, a revised bumper, and a silver finish on the front chin. Additionally, it sports newly-designed alloy wheels and fresh taillamp clusters.
The interior has also undergone substantial upgrades. The dashboard design mirrors that of the Fronx with a Black and Grey color scheme. The hatchback is equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, toggle switches for the HVAC controls, and a steering wheel reminiscent of the Fronx. As for the engine specifications of the all-new Maruti Swift, they remain shrouded in mystery. However, reports indicate that it is expected to deliver high fuel efficiency with strong hybrid powertrain.
