What Updates Can We Expect for the 2023 Tata Nexon Facelift?

With a monthly sales average of over 13,000 units, the Tata Nexon retains the top spot among India’s best-selling SUVs. To further boost its sales, the indigenous automaker plans to give a mid-life update to the sub-4 metre SUV in the coming months, possibly in August 2023. Noticeable changes are expected to be made to its exterior and interior, inspired by the Tata Curvv concept that had its world premiere at the 2023 Auto Expo. Starting with its interior, the updated Nexon will receive a new two-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom. The unit will have a piano black finish, an illuminated logo in the center, and a rectangular hub section with control buttons on either side. The subcompact SUV will come with a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In fact, its new 7-inch digital instrument cluster will also be similar to the Curvv concept.

2023 Tata Nexon Features

To offer a more value-for-money package, Tata will add some new tech, including a 360-degree camera and paddle shifters (a first for any Tata car). There will be a touch panel on the HVAC console and two toggle switches. Rumor has it that the new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift could also feature ADAS tech.

Compared to the current model, the updated one will feature a sharper design with a newly-designed front grille, featuring diamond-shaped inserts in the lower half. The redesigned headlamp clusters will be connected via an LED light bar. The SUV will have a flatter nose and a more upright stance. Further distinguishing it will be the new set of alloy wheels, updated taillamps with an LED light bar, a tweaked rear bumper, and a new tailgate design.

The new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will be powered by a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine, which will also be used in the final version of the Curvv midsize SUV. The engine will deliver a peak power of 125bhp and 225Nm of torque. The subcompact SUV will also be available with the existing 1.5L diesel engine.
