Volkswagen has introduced updates and enhancements to its Virtus sedan and Taigun SUV models in celebration of the festive season. The Topline and GT Plus variants of both models now come equipped with front powered seats and footwell illumination. Additionally, sub-woofers and amplifiers have been added to the GT Plus variants. As a result of these changes, the prices of the updated Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun variants have been raised by Rs 19,000 to Rs 36,000.
Prices Hiked
Furthermore, select Virtus variants have seen price increases of up to Rs 4,000. The Virtus sedan lineup consists of six trims: Comfortline, Highline, Topline, GT, GT Plus, and GT Edge Limited Edition. While the Highline trim has seen a price hike of Rs 4,000, the GT variants have experienced a minor price increase of Rs 1,000. It’s worth noting that all other variants maintain their previous price tags.
New Matte Edition
The Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Matte Edition is now available at a price of Rs 17.61 lakh for the manual version and Rs 19.28 lakh for the DSG variant. Compared to the regular GT Plus variant, this special edition is approximately Rs 40,000 more expensive. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.

Powering the special edition is a 150bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine available with both manual and DSG automatic gearboxes. Notably, the Virtus GT Plus Matte Edition can only be booked online, and deliveries will be made on a first-come, first-served basis in the coming days. Limited numbers of the special edition will be sold across the nation.

In preparation for the festive season, Volkswagen has announced the ‘Volksfest 2023’ program, offering customers special discounts, offers, benefits, and after-sales services. These include free pick-up and drop facilities for specified kilometers, mobile service units for periodic maintenance, doorstep services, free vehicle check-ups, and more. Additionally, customers can receive assured gifts upon taking test drives during the promotional period.
