Volkswagen has launched its connected car solution – My Volkswagen Connect in the Indian market. The new SIM-based application is a technology that effectively transform a regular driving experience into a connected one, offering convenience and safety for the customers. It is offered as standard on the top-spec Polo GT TSI and the Vento Highline Plus with a 3-year free subscription and 3-years warranty.
My Volkswagen Connect has a simple and easy user interface. It can be accessed by plugging the dongle to the on-board diagnostics (OBD) port of the car. It can easily be downloaded on any smartphone and paired to any Android/ iOS device post a secure OTP exchange on the registered mobile number. The application instantly connects the customer with their vehicle.
The app analyses the driving style by considering speed, braking behavious, coolant temperature, acceleration and RPM. The app also enables customers to reach out to customer care or Road Side Assistance in case of emergencies. Customers can also use the app to scan, upload and store vehicle documents for a paperless and convenient experience.
