TVS Apache RTR 310 – 6th September
The TVS Apache RTR 310 is generating significant anticipation, with teasers and spy shots hinting at its imminent arrival. TVS has officially released a teaser, which confirms some key design elements, including the slightly lower-placed two-piece LED headlights, a compact rear seat, a pointed tail, and a cylindrical exhaust. However, a test mule of the bike was spotted with a more standard-sized rear seat and an exhaust similar to the faired Apache RR 310. The TVS Apache RTR 310 is expected to share several features and its engine with its faired sibling, the Apache RR 310. What might set it apart is a different seating posture. In terms of features, the bike is likely to offer a fully digital instrument console, smartphone connectivity, and TVS’s BTO treatment, which includes adjustable handlebars, footpegs, and suspension.
New KTM 390 Duke – Late September
The 2024 KTM 390 Duke is also on the horizon, with an expected launch in late September 2023. This new model has already been unveiled globally. The 2024 390 Duke will see significant changes in terms of hardware, features, performance, and rider aids. It will come with features like launch control and ride modes. The bike’s new model will be powered by a 399cc engine that promises more linear low-end power delivery. Expected pricing is around Rs 3.30 lakh, making it more expensive than the current model priced at Rs. 2.97 lakh (ex-showroom).
River Indie Electric Scooter – September
Shifting gears again, the River Indie electric scooter is gearing up for its long-awaited launch this month (September 2023). The final production version of the scooter is expected to retain most of the design elements from the pre-production model. The powertrain will consist of a 4kWh battery pack and a 6.7kW electric motor, offering a range of around 120km and a maximum speed of 90kmph. It boasts features like 43-litre underseat storage space, a 12-litre glovebox, 14-inch wheels, and crash guards. The initial introduction price was Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom), but it’s important to note that EV prices may increase due to changes in the FAME II subsidy in the coming months.
