Maruti’s new 7-seater MPV is expected to go on sale during 2023 festive season. The model will share its platform, powertrains, features and a few design elements with the Toyota Innova Hycross. That means, it will be made available with a 2.0L Atkinson cycle and a 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine. While the strong hybrid setup makes 184bhp with an e-Drive transmission, the regular petrol motor delivers 172bhp with 205Nm. Minor design changes are expected to be made to its design including a new grille, headlamps and bumper. Production of the new Maruti 7-seater MPV will take place at Toyota’s Bidadi-based plant. With estimated price range of around Rs 20 lakh – Rs 30 lakh, it will be the most expensive model in the company’s product portfolio. More details here…
