TVS Motor Company has launched the new TVS Raider with SmartXonnectTM technology at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle gets a segment first 5 inch TFT cluster and advanced connectivity tech. The standard Raider 125 comes with a digital LCD display. It is the first motorcycle ever to be launched in the metaverse, called TVS Motoverse.
The 2022 TVS Raider comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT console that connects the user with the motorcycle through an exclusive mobile application. This Bluetooth enabled system showcases multiple riding analytics to help riders review their ride and style. Also, the motorcycle offers voice and navigation assist, incoming call feature, image transfer options and ride reports.
The TVS Raider is powered by a 124.8cc air & oil-cooled 3V engine that produces a maximum power of 11.4bhp at 7,500rpm and torque of 11.2Nm at 6,000rpm. This engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox and it offers two power modes – Power and Eco. It is claimed to achieve 0 to 60kmph acceleration in 5.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 99kmph.
The motorcycle gets telescopic front forks and gas-charged 5-step adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear. It comes with split seats and rides on 17-inch cast alloy wheels. It is available 2 colour options – Wicked Black and Fiery Yellow. The motorcycle gets segment-first under-seat storage, side stand indicator with engine inhibitor, helmet reminder and the USB charger.
