Toyota Kirloskar Motor is ready to unveil its all-new Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV on 1st July 2022. In order to create excitement among customers, the automaker keeps pouring in its teaser revealing interesting details. A latest teaser shows the front end of the SUV featuring a thick single-slat grille with chrome inserts and a faux carbon fibre finish.
You can notice the projector LED headlamps with split setup, fog lamp assembly with chrome surround, air vents with honey comb pattern and silver skid plate. The black elements on the ORVMs and A-pillar further enhance its sporty appearance.
Moving to the side, the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has newly-designed dual-tone alloy wheels, squared wheel cladding and black roof. It will feature wrap around LED taillamps at the back. The SUV is likely to measure more than 4.3 metres in length and it will be based on Suzuki’s Global-C platform. The new Toyota SUV will have dual-tone dashboard with soft brown finish and black leather with silver accents. There will be a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system supporting the latest smartphone connectivity. Features such as a digital instrument console, a 360 degree camera, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, wireless phone charging, Head-Up Display, a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents and cruise control might also be on offer. Rumour has that it might get the ADAS suite (advanced driver assistance system).
Official specifications are yet to be revealed. Though, the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is reported to come with the 1.5L K15C petrol engine with mild and strong hybrid tech. With mild hybrid system, it will deliver power around 103PS and 137Nm of torque. The strong hybrid version will make close to 116PS. Both FWD and AWD will be on offer. The strong hybrid version of the new Toyota SUV will come with eCVT automatic gearbox. The model lineup will also be available with the 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.
