Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom). It is essentially the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, except for a handful of subtle cosmetic updates at the outside as well as inside the cabin. Mechanically, it gets the same engines and gearbox choices as the Fronx. Since both the crossover models share the majority of the elements, let’s find out the differences between the two.

The Taisor flaunts a new front grille and revised bumper to distinguish itself from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. While the Fronx gets LED DRLs in cubic pattern, the Taisor comes with dual-strip LED DRL units. The three-pod headlamp design is identical on both the crossovers. As far as the side profile is concerned, both the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and Maruti Suzuki Fronx share similar elements like body cladding and silver skid plates. The only difference is in the form of alloy wheel design. Last but not the least, the rear profile styling is the same too, save for the lighting pattern of the LED tail-lamp cluster and different company badges.

The interior cabin of both the crossovers are almost identical, including the dashboard design and the dual-tone black and maroon upholstery. The only difference is the Toyota logo on the steering wheel in the Taisor while the Fronx has the Maruti Suzuki logo. Some of the notable common features in both the SUVs are wireless phone charging, auto AC, cruise control, heads-up display, and 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The safety features are also common in the form of the six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and rear parking sensors.
