After introducing the new Venue and the new Tucson, Hyundai is now developing a wide range of new SUVs and cars in the country in the next couple of years. Not just SUVs and sedan, the Korean automaker is also expected to launch a new MPV and electric cars in the Indian market. Here’s a list of upcoming new Hyundai cars and SUVs to be launched in the country in the next 2 years –

Hyundai will launch the new Creta facelift in the country before the end of this financial year. It is expected that the new Creta could be launched during festive season, before Diwali. The new model will come with design changes and upgraded interior. It is also expected to receive Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS) with features like autonomous emergency braking, lane assist and others. It will continue to be offered with existing engine and gearbox options.
Hyundai is also testing N-Line performance oriented version of the Venue compact SUV on the Indian roads. The spy images reveal that the new Hyundai Venue N-Line gets red accents on the front bumper, wheel arches, roof rails and at the rear. N-Line badge will be embossed on the front fender and on the front grille. It will come with differently styled alloy wheels. The cabin will also receive red accents. It is expected to be powered by a 118bhp, 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine with 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT.
Hyundai will launch the Ioniq 5 electric crossover before the end of this financial year. It is based on the E-GMP platform that supports multiple body styles. Expected to be priced around Rs 55-60 lakh, the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be brought via CBU route. The crossover is offered with two powertrain options – a single motor setup and a dual-motor AWD configuration. While the former makes power worth 169bhp and 350Nm of torque, the latter is good for 306bhp and 605Nm.
Hyundai is also planning to launch a new 3-row MPV in the country in 2023. It is expected that the new Hyundai Stargazer MPV will arrive in our market. The new model is already on sale in Indonesia. It is based on the Carens platform and measures close to 4.5 meters in length. The new MPV will rival the likes of the Suzuki Ertiga, XL6 and the Kia Carens. It will be offered with 1.5L NA petrol and 1.5L turbo-diesel engine options.
Hyundai has also started testing the next-gen Verna sedan, which is expected to be launched in our market in 2023. The new model will feature Hyundai’s new Sensuous Sportiness design language and will come with modern design highlights. Adding to it, the sedan will get ADAS, feature-loaded interior and a bigger panoramic sunroof. The sedan is also likely to get a mild hybrid system.
