Top 10 Car Companies November 2022 – Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra

Car manufacturers have announced their sales numbers for the month of November 2022. Most of the automakers have reported a positive sales growth. Maruti Suzuki maintains its lead with over 1.3 lakh cars sold last month. On the other hand, Tata Motors is getting closer to the number 2 position and gap with Hyundai has reduced to less than 2,000.

Maruti Suzuki has dispatched 1,32,395 cars in November 2022 as against 1,09,726 units in the same month last year. The company has reported a year-on-year sales growth of 21 per cent. Hyundai Motor Company is at second position with 48,003 units sold last month as against 37,001 units in November 2021. It has reported a year-on-year sales growth of 30 per cent.

2023 Tata Harrier facelift

Tata Motors is at the third position and is getting closer to the second position in the list of top 10 car companies in November 2022. The homegrown automaker reported a massive year-on-year sales growth of 55 per cent. It sold 46,037 units in November 2022 as against 29,778 units in the same month last year.

Mahindra maintains its 4th position with 30,392 SUVs dispatched last month. The company reported a YoY sales growth of 56 per cent, thanks to new XUV700 and the Scorpio-N. In the same month last year, the SUV maker had dispatched 19,458 units. Kia India sold 24,025 cars in November 2022 as against 14,214 vehicles in the same month last year. The company reported a year-on-year sales growth of 69 per cent.

While most of the automakers reported a positive growth, Toyota recorded a YoY sales decline of 10 per cent. This is mainly due to unavailability of Toyota Innova Crysta, as the company has stopped accepting bookings for the diesel Innova. The company sold 11,765 vehicles in November 2022 as against 13,003 units in the same month last year.

Honda Cars India has also reported a YoY sales growth of 29 per cent with 7,051 cars sold in November 2022 as against 5,457 units in the same month last year. On the flip side, Renault reported a YoY sales growth of 25% with 6,325 cars dispatched to dealers in November 2022 as against 5,052 units in the same month last year.

Skoda Auto sold 4,433 cars in November 2022 as against 2,196 units in the same month last year, reporting a year-on-year sales growth of 102%. MG Motor India sold 4,079 units, reporting a YoY sales growth of 64%. VW sold 3,570 cars and Nissan sold 2,400 cars in November 2022.
