Tata Safari Red Dark Edition Revealed – Key Features Explained

Tata Motors has unveiled the Safari Red Dark Edition at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Delhi. Introducing the model, the carmaker says that its “an all-new #DARK Persona that exudes sportiness and magnetism”. The Tata Safari Dark Edition has been painted in an Oberon Black paint scheme and Charcoal Black R19 alloy wheels, with striking red highlights on the fender badging, fog lamp inserts, and brake calipers.

Inside, the Tata Safari Red Dark Edition features a Carmelian Red and Steel Black theme, complemented by red leatherette upholstery and dark chrome inserts throughout. The dashboard showcases a steel black finish with a contrasting red LED strip running across it.

The interior also features a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, a 10-speaker JBL sound system, a panoramic sunroof, a gesture-enabled powered tailgate, an air purifier, ventilated front and rear seats, a 6-way powered driver’s seat with a memory function, wireless phone charging, 4-way powered co-driver’s seat with an electric boss mode, dual-zone climate control, and ambient lighting. In terms of safety, the Tata Safari Dark Edition comes with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology, seven airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and more.

Under the hood, no changes have been made, and the Tata Safari Dark Edition retains the 2.0L diesel engine paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. This setup delivers a claimed power of 170PS and 350Nm of torque.

While the launch date has not been specified, the Safari Red Dark Edition is expected to soon hit the roads. Regarding pricing, it is anticipated to be slightly premium compared to the regular top-end Dark edition, which is priced at Rs 27.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
