Tata Safari Automatic Gets Expensive – Details Here

Tata Motors has increased prices of the Safari automatic variant by up to Rs 7,000. The SUV model lineup includes 9 automatic variants, namely, XMA, XTA+, XZA, XZA+ 6-seater, XZA+, XZA+ 6-seater Adventure Edition, XZA+ Adventure Edition, XZA+ Gold 6-seater and XZA+ Gold. While the XMA and XZA receive price hike by Rs 3,000, the XTA+ has witnessed an increase of Rs 7,000. The rest automatic variants get expensive by Rs 2,000. No changes have been made to the SUV. The higher trims of Tata Safari are exclusively offered with a panoramic sunroof, middle row captain seats (6-seater), Oyster White leatherette upholstery, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 9 speaker JBL audio system with amplifier, part-digital instrument cluster with 7.0-inch TFT display, 6-way electric adjustable driver’s seat, auto dimming rear view mirror, electronic parking brake with auto hold, hill decent control, 6 airbags, Isofix child seat anchors, Terrain Response modes (Normal, Rough and Wet), Xenon HID projector headlamps, fog lamps with cornering function and 18-inch machined alloy wheels.

The Safari Adventure Edition, which is based on the XZ+ trim, comes with 18-inch charcoal grey machined alloy wheels, charcoal grey skid plates, Safari badge on bonnet, Piano black finished grille, door handles and roof rails, piano black and darkened trim inserts inside the cabin and Earthy Brown leatherette upholstery. The SUV offers Tata’s iRA (Intelligent Real Time Assist) connected car technology that’s available from the mid-spec XT variant onwards.

Under the hood, the Tata Safari employs a 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine that does duty in the Harrier SUV. The motor has been tuned for generating power worth 170bhp and a peak torque of 350Nm. The SUV model lineup can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
