Tata Safari Interior Pictures Leaked Ahead of Official Unveiling

The new Tata Safari 7-seater SUV will have its world premiere today in Delhi. Ahead of its official unveiling, the interior of its base variant has been revealed in a new spy video. The spotted model features an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 2-DIN audio system and a manual AC unit. It has all all-black interior theme with fabric upholstery instead of the beige interior and leather seat upholstery. The spied prototype misses out on steering mounted audio and cruise controls as well.

The SUV’s higher trims, on the other hand, will be equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 9-speaker JBL audio system with amplifier and automatic climate control. Features such as auto-hold function with gloss finish surrounds, electronic parking brake, soft-touch light shade door finish, steering mounted controls, will also be reserved for the top-end trims.

The list of features will also include ambient lighting, a factory-fitted panoramic sunroof with roll/tilt/slide open and close function, push button start, auto dimming IRVM and more. The new 2021 Tata Safari will offer connected car features divided into 5 categories – Safety & Security, Alerts & Notifications and Health Check, Over the Air updates and Remote Commands. The upcoming 7-seater Tata SUV will also be high on safety fitments.

Engine setup of the new Tata Safari will be similar to the Harrier SUV. It will derive power from a 2.0L Kryotec turbocharged diesel motor that has been tuned for producing power worth 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. There will be two gearboxes on offer – a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The SUV will come with FWD (front-wheel-drive) system only. The company might introduce 4X4 drivetrain system at a later stage.
