Following the launch of the Mahindra XUV400, Tata Motors has rejigged the Nexon EV range. The company has reduced the prices of Nexon EV by up to Rs 85,000. In fact, the range of the Tata Nexon EV Max has also been increased from 437km to 453km in a single charge.
The Tata Nexon EV Prime is available in 3 variants – XM, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. These variants are available with a 30.2kWh battery pack along with a 3.3kW charger. The XM and XZ+ variants are priced at Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 15.99 lakh respectively, while the XZ+ Lux is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh. Price of the base model is reduced by Rs 50,000, while the top-spec model is now cheaper by Rs 85,000.

The Tata Nexon EV Max is available with a larger 40.5kWh battery pack, and the option of 3.3kW or 7.2kW charger. The Nexon EV Max with 3.3kW charger is priced from 16.49 lakh to 18.49 lakh. The EV Max with 7.2kW charger is available in the price bracket of Rs 16.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Nexon EV Specs
The Nexon EV Prime is fitted with a 30.2kWh battery pack, which powers the front-axle mounted electric motor. The electric motor is claimed to offer 129PS of power and 245Nm of torque. It offers 2 modes – Drive and Sports. The Nexon EV Prime is claimed to offer a range of 312km on a single charge. The battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in 8 hours from a 15A AC wall socket.
The Nexon EV Max comes fitted with a front-axle mounted electric motor, which draws power from the 40.5kWh battery pack. The electric motor produces 143PS and 250Nm of torque. It offers 3 modes – Eco, City and Sports. It also comes with 4 levels of adjustable regenerative braking. It is claimed to offer a certified range of 453km in a single charge.
The Nexon EV Max comes with an upgraded ZConnect 2.0 connected car tech with ZConnect application, which has 48 connected car features. For safety and security, the electric SUV gets hill hold assist, hill descent control and electronic parking brake with auto vehicle hold and ESP with i-VBAC (Intelligent – Vacuum-less Boost & Active Control).
