Tata Gravitas Launch In Jan-March 2021; HBX Delayed

We reported earlier that Tata Motors will introduce two new SUVs – the Gravitas and the HBX micro SUV in the first quarter of 2021. It is now confirmed that the Tata Gravitas will go on sale in Q1, 2021; however, Tata hasn’t released any specific launch timeline for the HBX micro SUV.

The Tata Gravitas is a 6-seater version of the Harrier SUV and will be the brand’s flagship product in the country. In terms of sales, Tata Nexon registered its highest ever sales last month and Harrier’s sales have also increased exponentially. The introduction of the automatic version played a crucial role in the growth of the SUV.

In terms of proportions, the Gravitas is 63mm longer, 72mm wider and 80mm taller than the Harrier. The SUV will have a ground clearance of 200mm. The SUV has also received subtle design changes to keep things fresh in the market. It has taller stance, bigger alloys and more upright rear profile. It gets revised tail-lamps and boot lid. The windshield is large and rear spoiler is more prominent than the Harrier. It gets stepped roof, upright tailgate with a roof spoiler, newly styled roof-rails and slightly tweaked rear profile.
