Suzuki Fronx Gets Brezza’s 1.5L Petrol Engine In South Africa

Japanese automaker, Suzuki has launched the made-in-India Fronx crossover in the South African market. The crossover is available in two variants – GL and GLX – and in a single powertrain option. The Suzuki Fronx in the South African market is available at a starting price of R279,000 (INR 12.23 lakh).

The South Africa-spec Fronx crossover is powered by a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that powers the Brezza, Grand Vitara, Ertiga and the XL6 in India. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic gearbox. It is capable of producing 102bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. This is the biggest difference between the India-spec and the South African-spec Fronx crossover.
