Skoda Auto has officially unveiled the prices for the new Slavia Matte Edition, with rates starting at Rs 15.52 lakh for the 1.0L TSI manual variant and going up to Rs 19.12 lakh for the 1.5L TSI automatic model. This Matte Edition is based on the Style trim and comes with a premium of nearly Rs 40,000 over its standard counterpart. The Skoda Slavia Matte Edition boasts a distinctive Matte Carbon Steel color scheme and features gloss black wing mirrors and door handles. However, the chrome accents on the front grille, window surrounds, and fog lamp garnish remain unchanged.
The interior of the Matte Edition remains identical to the regular Style trim. The Skoda Slavia Matte Edition shares the same set of features, including leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, Connected car technology, MySKODA connected car technology, auto-dimming interior rearview mirrors, automatic headlamps, height-adjustable co-driver’s seat, and a comprehensive safety package with six airbags.
The Slavia sedan lineup currently offers three trim levels (Active, Ambition, and Style) and four engine-transmission combinations. It is available with either a 1.0-liter three-cylinder TSI engine delivering 115hp and 175Nm of torque or a 1.5-liter four-cylinder TSI unit producing 150bhp and 250Nm of torque. There are three gearbox options, including a standard 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter, and a 7-speed DCT automatic.
Skoda Auto recently introduced two new features for the top-spec Style trim of the Slavia sedan and the Kushaq SUV – footwell illumination and powered front seats. Additionally, the company has revised the base prices for both models, with the Slavia and Kushaq now starting at Rs 10.89 lakh, representing a reduction of Rs 50,000 and Rs 70,000, respectively.
In other news, the Czech automaker is preparing to introduce the new-generation Superb sedan, which will be available in a single L&K trim. The executive sedan will be imported via the CBU route and will be offered in limited quantities. Skoda continues to expand its product portfolio and enhance its offerings in the Indian market.
