Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Launch Date 9th May – Report

Skoda Auto marked its entry into the mid-size SUV segment with the Kushaq in June 2021. The model has completed 10 successful months in the Indian market and is ready to receive a new special edition. According to a latest media report, the company will bring in the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition featuring sporty blacked-out treatment and extra goodies. The upcoming Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition will be based on the range-topping Style trim and could be offered in Red and White colour options. The chrome surround on the front grille and silver accents on the front bumper will be replaced with the black finish. The blacked-out treatment will also be seen on the wing mirrors, roof and front and rear skid plates.

The SUV will feature pronounced “Monte Carlo” badges on the front fenders and blacked-out badges on the tailgate. The Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition will come fitted with the new 205/55 R17 tyres and its alloy wheels design will be similar to the old-generation Skoda Octavia RS 245.

A new digital instrument cluster will come as the major interior update. The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition will have sporty red graphics and dual-tone Red and Black upholstery complimenting with its interior theme. Similar to the regular Style trim, the Kushaq Monte Carlo will offer a 6-speaker sound system with subwoofer, a single-pane sunroof, a tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, ventilated front seats, automatic wipers and headlamps, full LED headlamps and more.

The automaker will offer the Kushaq’s new Edition with both 1.0L TSI petrol (115bhp/175Nm) and 1.5L TSI petrol (150bhp/250Nm) engine options. It can be had with either a manual or an automatic gearbox. Compared to its standard counterpart, the Kushaq Monte Carlo is estimated to be priced around Rs 80,000 – 1 lakh premium.
