Select Dealerships Start Taking Bookings For Toyota Glanza CNG

Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the new Baleno CNG in the country at a starting price of Rs 8.28 lakh (ex-showroom). Toyota is also ready to launch the CNG version of the Glanza hatchback. In fact, select dealerships across the country have started accepting offline bookings for the Toyota Glanza CNG. This suggests that the new CNG version of the Glanza could be launched in the coming days.

The Toyota Glanza CNG will be the first car from the Japanese automaker to feature a factory-fitted CNG kit in the country. It is reported that the CNG kitted Glanza will be offered in 3 trim levels – S, G and V. On the other side, the Baleno CNG is available in two variants – Delta MT and Zeta MT – priced at Rs 8.28 lakh and Rs 9.21 lakh respectively. The new Glanza CNG is expected to cost around Rs 95,000 more than the respective petrol variants. Except for the base E trim, all the variants of the Glanza will come with CNG kit.

The top-spec Toyota Glanza comes equipped with features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, connected car tech with 40+ features, automatic AC, HUD, cruise control and keyless entry with push button start. This variant comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC and hill start assist.

The Toyota Glanza CNG will come equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit. In the CNG mode, the powertrain produces 77.49PS at 6,000rpm and 98.5Nm at 4,300rpm. Compared to the petrol model, the power and torque drops by around 12PS and 14.5Nm respectively. It is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Similar to the Baleno CNG, the CNG powered Toyota Glanza will offer a fuel economy of 30.61km/kg.
