Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has finally been launched in the Indian market. The cruiser bike has been made available within the price range of Rs 3.48 lakh and Rs 3.78 lakh, thus making it the most expensive Royal Enfield in the country. It comes in Standard and Tourer variants, powered by a 648cc, air and oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine. The same motor does duty in the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Though, the company has remapped the Super Meteor’s engine and its gearing.

The bikemaker also claims that the RE Super Meteor 650 offers 80 percent of peak torque at just 2,500rpm. The engine delivers a peak power of 47bhp at 7,250rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5,650rpm. Transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. Dimensionally, the new RE 650cc cruiser measures 2260mm in length, 890mm in width and 1155mm in height. The Sold Tourer variant can be had in five colour options – Astral Blue, Astral Black, Astral Green, Interstellar Green and Interstellar Gery. The Grand Tourer variant comes in two paint schemes – Celestial Blue and Celestial Red. The Royal Enfield cruiser 650cc bike has been equipped with 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels shod with 100/90 and 150/80 tyres respectively. It derives power from the 320mm front and 300mm rear disc brakes. The bike gets dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard fitment.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is the company’s first bike to feature the Showa 43mm USD fork suspension and full LED headlamp. It’s also the heaviest RE bike with total weight of 241kg. This cruiser is the first RE model to get Tripper navigation pod as standard. The bike features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, circular LED taillamps, black finish on engine casings and aluminum finished switch cubes.
The Solo Tourer themed Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 comes with a range of bespoke accessories including the neat bar-end mirrors, bar-end finisher, front and rear LED, indicators, the solo finisher kit, compact engine guard, deluxe rider foot pegs and silver finish sump guard.
The Grand Tourer theme is available in Celestial variant and it features OE-fitted deluxe touring seat, pillion backrest and touring flyscreen. Furthermore, one can add more accessories from a range of GMAs, making the motorcycle a full-fledged tourer. These include touring handlebars, touring mirrors, deluxe rider footpegs, LED fog lights, airfly evo engine guard, black sump guard and front & rear LED indicators.
