The veil has finally lifted on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 as the motorcycle was recently spotted without any camouflage painted in black shade. Poised to be a more potent and premium iteration compared to the existing 411cc Himalayan, this new model exhibits a round headlight, an elevated front beak, circular rearview mirrors, and an imposing windscreen, capturing the essence of an adventure tourer. The enlarged fuel tank is anticipated to possess a greater capacity than the current 15-litre offering.
The Himalayan 450 flaunts distinctive attributes such as side-mounted racks, split seating, and wire-spoked wheels. The upswept exhaust canister is another notable element. Noteworthy is the all-LED lighting configuration, including the introduction of upside-down (USD) front forks. A standout feature is the triple-in-one tail lamp setup, seamlessly integrating dual LED indicators and brake signals, reminiscent of the BMW S 1000RR design. Similarly, mirroring the RE Scram 450, the motorcycle will sport a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel.
The upcoming RE Himalayan 450 boasts an array of modern features, including smartphone synchronization with Bluetooth-enabled navigation and a fully digital instrument console. Riding modes encompass dual-channel ABS, a monoshock rear suspension, and cutting-edge ride-by-wire technology. The powerhouse driving the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 might be a 411cc liquid-cooled engine, anticipated to yield an output between 35 to 40 horsepower and a robust torque of 40Nm.
The official pricing for the new RE Himalayan 450 is set to be unveiled on November 1, 2023. Projections place it at approximately Rs 2.50 lakh in showroom prices, positioning it in the premium segment among its competitors. Meanwhile, the company is ready to roll out the new-generation Royal Enfield Bullet 350 on 1st September, 2023. The bike will come with significantly improved design, a more potent engine and a new platform.
