Pravaig Veer Electric Military SUV – Range Over 500km, AWD

Made-in-India, Pravaig Veer electric military SUV has finally made its first public appearance at the ongoing 2023 Auto Expo. The model was showcased alongside the Pravaig Degy electric SUV that caters the passenger vehicle segment. The Veer, which has combat theme without the doors and a proper hard top, is meant for defence, adventure and off-roading purposes. The model is currently in its initial development stage. Similar to the Defy, the Veer military SUV uses a 90kWh battery pack with dual-motor and AWD (all-wheel drive) system.

The setup delivers a maximum power of 402bhp and 620Nm of torque. The carmaker says that the military SUV can offer a range of over 500km on a single charge. Its battery life is 2,50,000km. By using a fast charger, one can charge its battery from 0 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. The electric SUV is said to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 4.9 seconds and offer a top speed of 210kmph. It comes with a ground clearance of 234mm and has a water wading capacity of up to 900mm.

The Pravaig Veer has better approach and departure angles, thanks to its jacked-up bumpers. It comes with the projector headlamp setup, which is bolted onto the metal. You can also notice auxiliary lamps. As mentioned above, the military vehicle doesn’t have doors that makes it easy to get in the out in combat situations. The electric SUV has dual screen setup – one for the instrument cluster (fully digital) and one for the infotainment system.

The steering wheel misses out on control buttons. While the showcased model has the conventional keyhole setup, the final version is expected to get an engine start-stop button. The new Pravaig military SUV also comes with remote servicing assistance and upgradable software and hardware.
