Hero MotoCorp started deliveries of the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle across the country from 15th October. The mega deliveries of the motorcycles were conducted across 100 dealerships, including Harley-Davidson and select Hero MotoCorp outlets in different parts of the country.
The new Harley-Davidson X440 is being manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s manufacturing facility, called the Garden Factory, at Neemrana in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan. Since its unveiling in July 2023, the HD X440 has received more than 25,000 bookings within just a month of its showcase. The company has delivered over 1000 motorcycles within 2 days across 100 dealerships.
Hero MotoCorp has also reopened the bookings for the new Harley-Davidson X440. New customers can now test ride the HD X440 and also book the new motorcycle online or at all Harley-Davidson dealerships and select Hero MotoCorp outlets across the country. The new HD X440 is available in 3 variants – Denim, Vivid and S – priced at Rs 2,39,500, Rs 2,59,500 and Rs 2,79,500 respectively.
The new Harley X440 is powered by a 440cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that is capable of producing 27bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 38Nm at 4,000rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox, and features a chain drive as we have seen in the Harley Pan America. The motorcycle gets 43mm USD front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking duties, the HDX440 gets disc brakes and dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The X440 rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wrapped with MRF tyres.
